Recently, a video after being posted has attracted a lot of attention and sharing of people about the hegemony of the creators of that ship compartment to be able to complete the mission of the team.
Below the flight deck are almost all the control rooms. As the “island” was made as small as possible, the only working areas in the superstructure were the command post, charting room, radar and surveillance systems, as well as the cockpit control room. But what’s under the flight deck at the rear of the aircraft carrier?
The area was once known as the ”spud locker”, where potatoes were stored. The pilots joked that if they flew too low and boarded an aircraft carrier, they would crash into the warehouse.
But on some ships, the room was a “jet engine shop” where jet engines were overhauled and tested. Due to the aircraft shop near the stern of the ship, it is very convenient to move and check the engine after maintenance.
Just two floors below the flight deck is the hangar. It takes up more than two thirds of the ship’s length. It can hold a spare jet engine, other heavy equipment, more than 60 aircraft and fuel tanks. It keeps them in four areas separated by sliding doors that act as a means of preventing fire from spreading in the event of a fire incident.
