When the player hit the baseball high, causing the ball to fly to the audience’s seats, the man who caught the ball stood at the end of the field,
made a jump and caught the ball.
This moment caused the whole field to burst into laughter at his superb catch, but in the end it was discovered that he was doing a trick while the ball had already gone nowhere. There are many theories put forward to explain this scam, but only insiders know the truth.
I feel like if the runner ran around the bases and the ruling wasn’t a catch until after the runner rounded the bases then it should be a run 🤷🏾♂️.
Once the ball is caught often enough the outfielder shows sign of ownership of the caught ball, instead the outfielder never did and even the refs didn’t know the call due to the player wanted to be funny and not show after the catch
that he caught it! Should’ve just shown the ball instead of wasting time on reviewing the play multiple times to see what happens
Considering it was a “solo home run” it was a waste to use this “trick play”. Had there been runners on base it would’ve been the perfect time.
Could have thrown runners out on base at the same time.
If you’re going to send the game into a delay because of reviews at least make it worth it. Just my opinion 🤷🏻♂️

“I think he had a ball in his pocket, and he had to wait for the camera to move off of him before he could pull it out.”
“so if I hit a pop fly and make it to 2nd base before someone catches it, am I out or is it a double?I’m out. Even if I’ve been standing on the base for 5 minutes before they catch it and call it a catch.”
“look at the reaction of kids in the outfield stands. They were going after the ball but then saw he caught the ball. One kid even claps at the catch And the announceer has the nerve to say ” yea I think it was a catch…”
