According to the APA Dictionary, confusion is a mental disorder characterized by bewilderment, the inability to reason effectively or take deliberate action, “n. a mental disturbance characterized by bewilderment, inability to think clearly or act decisively, and disorientation for time, place and person.”
Okay, what about the last part? Those are extreme examples of perplexity (not knowing who you are or where you are).
