THIS CONVERSATION BETWEEN A POLICEMAN AND A DRIVER WILL MAKE YOU GO… INSANE

“I cannot force you to sign, but it is required for you to sign.” – quote officer Rodriguez.

I swear to you, this video is simply hilarious – a very classic and awkward conversation that deserves to be replayed repeatedly. This video will lead you to a matrix of statements that you cannot figure out where this conversation is going in the end!

Now first, let’s recall when you were still a kid, and you got scolded and grounded for some actions that you are not a hundred per cent wrong. You explained it back to your parents, but they just kept adding days to you being grounded at home since they were still furious at it. Very classic. In this case, the parent here is officer Rodriguez, who was unhappy that the driver did not sign his two tickets, so he gave him another ticket. Yay, can you imagine it, a ticket for not signing tickets? Amazing!

Someone said that rumor has it he is still there getting tickets for not signing.

However, if we must be neutral, a requirement is not a choice. But that is not the same as saying you have an option to sign. I do not prefer seat belts, and there is a penalty for non-compliance. It is the same thing, the driver has the choice not to sign his ticket, but there is undoubtedly a penalty for non-compliance. The same thing goes with taxes. It is also required to pay taxes, but you do not have to do it if you are willing to go to jail or have a bad personal record.

You should sign the ticket if a police officer asks you to. If you refuse, the police can arrest you and charge you with breaching the law. Again, signing does not constitute an admission of guilt, and you may always appear in court to prove your innocence.

The officer is releasing you on your recognizance by issuing you the ticket, and you are pledging to return later. If you refuse to sign a ticket in a state like Louisiana, the officer has the authority to arrest you and bring you before a magistrate for a hearing. So, if you’re pulled over, the ticket seems excessive or utterly wrong. Don’t hesitate to sign it. Sign the ticket and handle the situation.

A busy officer or a seasoned cop understands that making an arrest based on a traffic stop refusal to sign is inexpensive. It’s shabby. Being hard ass is overkill, as it entails a lot more work and will occupy the officer for far longer than just refusing to sign the ticket and moving on.

You are not required to sign it. You are not required to appear in court. If you are not arrested right away, you have the right to refuse to sign the document and drive away. But don’t get upset if the court issues a show cause or failure to appear order and a license suspension.

NOW, TELL US, will you sign or choose not to sign?
